makalawena beachThis long crescent beach is interspersed with rocky area and sandy beaches. There are areas perfect for swimming and other areas with great snorkeling potential.

The unusual combination of black lava and white, dead coral rocks brings out the artist in almost everyone. To the right is a rendition of a local fisherman!

The area is rarely crowded. The scenery is varied with coves and rocky points to explore. The ocean is often calm.
